Enforcement

TASA’s Enforcement Program has evolved to embrace cutting-edge technology, enhancing its capabilities in enforcing regulations and safeguarding the marine environment at Turneffe Atoll.

Adaptive Management

The Adaptive Management Program guides TASA’s on-site management of the Turneffe Atoll Marine Reserve. The program aims to maintain ecosystem services and sustainably manage fisheries through different marine monitoring programs that promote the direct application of science into adaptive management.

Stakeholder Engagement & Livelihoods

The Stakeholder Engagement and Livelihoods Program at TASA is dedicated to fostering improved stewardship of natural resources through active involvement with stakeholders across six key communities: Belize City, Caye Caulker, San Pedro, Copper Bank, Chunox, and Sarteneja fishing communities.

Tourism & Financial Sustainability

TASA’s Tourism & Financial Sustainability Program is a multifaceted initiative aimed at driving environmental awareness, promoting sustainable practices, and enhancing visitor experiences to secure more predictable revenue sources for TASA.

Administration and Governance

The Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association operates under a robust administration and governance structure with the ultimate oversight being a stakeholder board and program directors that over see the main managment programs.
