Turneffe Atoll is approximately 50km long and 20km wide, surrounded by a shallow fringing reef and filled with a labyrinth of channels and mangrove-covered Cayes. To help navigate this remote marine wilderness, we’ve created a collection of maps.
For visitors to Turneffe, and our partner resorts and dive operators, we’ve created a selection of downloadable PDF guides to help you enjoy Turneffe to the max.
Printed waterproof versions of these guides are available on request.
Thanks to Reef Smart Guides, you can explore the Wit in detail before you dive. Their 3D model allows you to explore the ships exterior in detail. Click the [play] icon to activate the model, and once it’s loaded use your computer mouse to navigate the hull from every angle.

Belize’s newest and premier wreck dive site is The Wit, Turneffe — a 375-foot concrete tanker ship that was laid to rest at the bottom of the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Turneffe Atoll. She is located at the Oasis dive site 0.75 miles Northeast of BlackBird Caye in Soldier Caye Reserve.
